After school is more than just extra time—it’s an opportunity for students to grow, learn, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Madera Unified School District’s After School Program requires no fees and offers hands-on enrichment activities, academic support, and a space where students can explore new interests. From homework assistance to exciting enrichment like STEM and art, students build essential skills while developing friendships and staying active. The result? Open For Fun

All of our programs are open to students of all schools in MUSD, and available Monday through Friday, 180 days a year.

Elementary School Hours

2:45–6:00 pm

Middle School Hours

3:22–6:22 pm

High School Hours

3:45–6:45 pm, Wed. 2:36–6:36 pm

Homework Assistance

Your children receive encouraging and enriching support with their schoolwork, helping them with homework completion and giving them a head start on their studies.

Enrichment Classes

Our After School Programs offer a dynamic range of enrichment courses and hands-on activities designed to engage and inspire—empowering children to think ahead, explore new interests, and build skills for the future.

Safety & Nutrition

Our educators follow safety protocols which provide a caring environment where students can learn and play with confidence. We also offer balanced, wholesome snacks that fuel students’ bodies and minds, keeping them energized for activities.

Our After School Program offers programming for students from TK-12th grade.

Our After School Programs are free to all students with in Madera Unified with State and Federal Funding.

The programs offer homework assistance, academic, enrichment, Physical Activity, snack, and Fun Fridays.
  • Elementary & Middle School: See the Program Site Lead at your student’s site to get an application or to get on the waiting list.
  • High School: Our High School After School Programs (ASP) operate on an opt-out system. This means all students at the site are automatically enrolled unless an opt-out form is filled out and emailed to the program. All your student needs to do is check in with the ASP to participate.
